Congratulations, António José Seguro, on your election as President of Portugal.

The Portuguese citizens have spoken and, in the face of devastation caused by the storms, demonstrated remarkable democratic resilience.

Portugal’s voice for our shared European values remains strong.

Wonderful picture. You don’t need the caption. His face and the way he holds the gun is perfect. What a time to be alive.

Albas are my favourite galaico-português poems. This is a study in mastery, feelings and thoughts shown through things, places, visible reactions. Perfect. trovadorismomedievalufjf2017.blogspot.com/2017/04/cant...

A wonderful poem by John Ashbery that might help make sense of th world. www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/56704/...
A Worldly Country

And a lot of current thought is on the advantages and disadvantages for the individual, neglecting a sociocultural aspect and all the work humans do by unmediated & mediated socialisation: updating ethical values, for example. A lot to be said on the quiet disappearing of the Humanities in education

Grok undresses women. Men undress women with Grok. If we take the animism one + step bckwrd, LLMs steal & ingest to learn. We’re predatorial. Or cannibalistic. To undress women. How did WS Burroughs say it? We’re eating quality & shitting quantity. Every tech breakthru a tool for porn.

From “not a citizen by birth” to “not a citizen by values” is a quick ideological hop, fellas. Don’t trust me? Check the history of authoritarian states. Tick-tack, America.

I’ve been working in digital learning for close to 15 years. I think I’ve read something like this every 3 or 4 years. Shame. There are much needed changes to blended approaches. But nothing like this.

LTHEChat 337 Dialogic learning in the Age of Generative AI
Join us on Bluesky on Wednesday 1st October 2025 at 20:00 BST What does it truly mean to learn with a machine, and are machines capable of engaging in dialogic learning? Generative AI models—capable of producing text, images, or other content in response to prompts—are rapidly reshaping educational discourse by introducing ‘scalable’ forms of personalised learning, while also raising challenges around academic integrity and the need to redefine what critical thinking entails in the context of learning with AI.
