A Rare Beauty in the Fading Light
Most leopards are born with blue eyes, but as they grow, their gaze turns golden. Yet, this young female still carries the rarest gift—eyes like the sky at dusk. Moving with effortless grace, she is a fleeting vision in the last light of the Masai Mara. #bigcats

Honoring the Lions of the Mara

With the recent passing of Lorkulup, I feel compelled to share more images of these magnificent big cats. A tribute to their power, beauty, and the vital role they play in the balance of the savanna. #bigcatsofmasaimara #wildlifephotography #safariphotography #lions

This young male lion, spotted in the Masai Mara in November 2023, is at a crucial stage of his journey. Soon, he’ll leave his pride to face the challenges of independence, honing his strength and resilience to one day claim a territory of his own.

As a wildlife photographer, I love capturing simple, highly graphic images that showcase an animal’s natural beauty. Light plays a crucial role in revealing the textures of nature. This iguana looks like it just stepped out of a fashion show, draped in its textured armor.

Clarification on Lorkulup’s Passing
Yesterday, I posted about it that it seemed linked to human-wildlife conflict based on what I had read. The truth is—I don’t know the circumstances and don’t want to accuse anyone.
losing an endangered lion is a profound loss. Thank you for honoring his legacy.

Heartbroken to hear about the death of Lokurlup, the extraordinary male lion from the Masai Mara. I had the privilege of photographing and filming him over the years.

His death, seemingly rooted in human-wildlife conflict, is a painful reminder: only we, as humans, can change this.

A toucanet rests quietly in the lush green canopy of Monteverde, its colorful feathers glowing softly against the misty backdrop. It’s a rainy day, and the gentle patter of droplets blends with the distant calls of the forest.

The Gulf of Papagayo, Costa Rica. Every evening, sunsets that soothe the soul. For the third year, we’ve settled here for remote work, with a few photography projects, of course. Between Quebec, Africa, and Costa Rica, beauty to protect is everywhere. Projects are brewing…

Back in Costa Rica, where vibrant wildlife thrives at every turn. I'll be remote working from this paradise, with toucans and the sounds of nature as my inspiration. Did you know that Costa Rica protects about 30% of its land through national parks and reserves?

Thrilled that four of my images received honorable mentions at the Monochrome Awards
I’ve always been drawn to the drama of black and white. This shot of a leopard on the prowl in the last light of the Masai Mara shows why monochrome speaks to me. How about you—do you love monochrome wildlife?
