Struggling to get into The Weeknd’s new album as much as his last one, ‘Dawn FM’, but the transitions are pretty cool and ‘Open Hearts’ and ‘Drive’ are immediate keepers, plus ‘Timeless’ has finally clicked. Might need more listens but I wish the length wasn’t so bloated

This week’s new album listen is FKA twigs’ Eusexua - the title track remains one of the best songs of last year + plenty of these album tracks are keepers - enjoying the escapism of the freeing lyrics and electronic production choices, from trancey heaven to a jungle surprise

Ethel Cain’s new project ‘Perverts’ is the first new album I’ve listened to this year - its unpalatable factor lied more with the long, dense drone instrumentals than the subject matter in the end, but I was mostly on board with the intensity. Halloween soundtrack already sewn up 🖤
