Tbh the past few years have been absolutely demoralizing for art, but I will say picking up Blender has been really fun so far.
I think part of it is I didn't go into it with career goals in mind. I just wanted to make models I pose around like digital toys 🧸

Modeling things at scale when you're making something tiny is so funny sometimes lol
The thing you're working on will be like palm sized & then it immediately gets dwarfed by the torus you added because it spawned in at 2m wide

Even more miserable how within 3 days of posting at least 2 major blows to the art world (or near blow in animate's case) happened. Genuinely feels like the world is trying its hardest to snuff out artists & is making me question what am I doing any of this for
It is absolutely miserable knowing that I spent a large chunk of my life & got myself thousands in debt pursuing career arts, only for every avenue I could take get completely flatlined by rising facisim & bs corporate nonsense post-graduation.

Screen tablet. The better visibility helps massively for lineart for me but it isn't without its flaws (poor ergonomics, lack of portability for desktop, hogs HDMI slot)
I was looking at going back to Slablets to see if I liked the benefits of those more but uh... my intuos died 🥀
