The long-awaited sequel is a bold, defiant game with thrilling encounters and a gorgeous world, but it's also burdened by excess and the weight of expectations

couple thoughts on z-a:

1) bad graphics do not equate to a bag game and complaining about bad graphics does not equate to criticism. dig deeper. i beg you.

2) pokemon is not targeted at 30+ y/o men. it's fine if it doesn't spark the same joy it did when you were 4. its called getting older.

Keeper is one of those reviews that dropped into my lap, didn't know much about it, but then it wowed me

"Double Fine games have always been dense with artistry, but it's Keeper--a game without words--that feels most like it's letting the artistry speak for itself"

Keeper Review - This One's A Keeper
Keeper is Double Fine at its most confident, presenting a visual feast and a heartfelt tale in a detailed, complex natural world.

I rolled credits in Pokemon Legends: Z-A last night after about 35 hours, and I’m aiming to have my review up sometime tomorrow. I don’t wanna share my thoughts yet, but I can answer any burning questions folks might have.

Game developer: let’s map light attack to right bumper and heavy attack right trigger

Gamers: IS THIS ANOTHER SOULS LIKE???!?
Some have called Silent Hill f a "soulslike" due to a few similarities to Dark Souls. Is that a fair assessment, though? How much "souls" is in the new Silent Hill, anyway? @gracemachine.bsky.social investigates. www.endlessmode.com/video-games/...
Is It Accurate to Call Silent Hill f a "Soulslike"?
Silent Hill f bears some similarities with Dark Souls, but is it constructive to call the survival horror game a "soulslike"?

Black Ops 7 is solid. Guns feel balanced, movement tweaks are smart, and the maps are well designed. A noticeable improvement over MW3 and BO6 multiplayer.

But, like, there’s no way it’s going to pull me away from Battlefield 6.

A lot of people assume that Amsterdam has been biketopia since time immemorial but it actually was car hell for decades before the citizens became fed up with car fatalities and forced the government to rebuild everything around mass transit and bikes. It took time and will, but they did it.
Driving didn’t “naturally” become inevitable. We designed a society that make driving inevitable in most places. We can design something different

Cameron has done incredible work over the past few months for us! Absolutely love how this came together.
It's probably a lil navel gazey but I love seeing how the graphics I made end up getting used. The GS review of Yotei is probably my favourite for this one.

didn’t include games coming out in November and December for my own sanity
good luck finishing silent hill f, hades 2, hollow knight silksong, ghost of yotei, hell is us, final fantasy tactics, metal gear sold delta, pokemon legends z-a, battlefield 6, cronos, dying light the beast, trails in the sky, arc raiders, and borderlands 4 before award season
