With the band After, I'm just so deeply curious how much of their schtick is satire. To say that it's uncanny would be to betray just how well done the simulacrum is. They avoid the trap of nostalgic simplification/reductive affectation. How much of it is moodboard vs instinct vs trend cycle?

Illinois will effectively eliminate parking minimum requirements in ~all of Chicago and much of its suburbs thanks to the transit funding bill that passed last night.
Also contains parking reform! This is a preliminary map of Chicagoland based on the People Over Parking Act provision.

Last night TikTok kept serving me videos about unexpected grief and making sure to value who’s in your life more bc you never now if it could be their last day. It was really freaking me out due to family stuff.
Then my neighbor (who we all take care of and check in on and trade did with) died.
