Amateur/beginner photographers:

What cameras do you recommend for a complete novice when it comes to photography (preferably for around £300 and more than happy buying on EBay/CEX)

Today I did what every 25yr old dreams of - climbing through a ridiculously small space to peer up like a meerkat into a tiny winter village at a garden centre. Thank goodness I didn’t look like an idiot

Last weekend we went to Chatsworth House to view their Christmas display and I think I’ve taken some of the best photos in my life

There was a by-election where I live to select a new councillor. Turnout was 24% and Lib Dem’s won by 10 votes with reform second. Far too close for comfort. Reform deserves to be in the same place as UKIP, deeply in the bin

The Nativity film (2009) is quite possibly one of the greatest small budget Christmas movies out there. I just wish it got the love that it truly deserves.

A few highlights from Yorkshire Wildlife Park’s Winter Illuminations. They were so beautiful (even if it was freezing cold). Christmas is definitely here

I don’t know why, but this Christmas period already feels the most Christmassy yet (if that even a word) and I’ve got the first light trail of the year coming up tonight. I’m a sucker for pretty lights 😂
