At this point, I think I'm ready to drop Discord regardless of what they do. There were some nice communities on there, but if it's not this, it'll be something else. They're already feeding posts into AI if they're doing age guessing. That's also not cool in my book.

It was nice while it lasted.

Welp. I haven't heard anything about Discord changing plans. I'll be working on finishing up an alternative server for my group this weekend. (Fortunately, I already got pretty far in setting up an alternative months ago - after some other concern.)

...so I was brain-drained and needed some fresh music in my WIP coding playlist. I tried experimenting and seeing if ChatGPT could give me some decent (NON-AI) music recs.

...I think it just diagnosed me with ADHD. Just like "Oh, that actually explains a lot – you need to keep your dopamine up."

Finally got to play a game of Battletech: Alpha Strike. THAT was FUN! I'm definitely still learning, but I can see myself really getting into it.

The hextech terrain I printed was also REALLY nice! Being able to SEE the levels made all the difference!

Finding out that there was a new Muppet Show episode after decades...really just made my day! (Month, possibly!)

If anyone from Disney is listening out there, if you release those weekly, I will resubscribe and stay subscribed - as long as it's on. For that show alone.

Oh, dang! There's a new episode of The Muppet Show?! In 2026!

Glad my subscription hasn't run out quite yet! More of this please!

I finally rolled credits on Graveyard Keeper!

Fun game... But I was hoping some of the other zones would eventually be explorable. 😛

Someday I'll get around to working more on the DLC, but I'm feeling ready for something "new".

At the very least, it'd be nice to shout the things that bring me joy - even if it's into the void. Just the exercise helps remember some of the good in the world - when things often seem so dim.

Lately, I've been into 3D printing again. And a friend turned me onto Battletech: Alpha Strike.

I've been thinking I might try posting more again. Reading more again. Life's been A LOT. I'm 100% the type to pull back when stressed or hurting.

But at some point, I miss the old days of Twitter (and this is the closest I've found to that).

Amazon's late (per usual) but look what Costco had! 👀 (Cheaper too!)

What's one more Amazon return at this point? I keep getting obvious returns (missing stuff) or just the wrong item lately.

I'm still on the fence on Pokopia. I might get it...but I'm not bothering with Game Key Card nonsense.

I really need to try Dinkum too. That looks to be in a similar vein, from what I've seen. Also, that Palworld spin-off looked pretty great!
November 11, 2025 at 4:03 PM
Dang. Nintendo won't be giving Pokemon Pokopia is effectively digital-only now? The first of many games, I'm sure. Nintendo just keeps moving further and further away from what I want to see. Disappointing.

More and more, indie games are where it's at for me.

Yeah, from what I'm seeing so far, Pokemon Z-A is a skip for me. The new battle system looks tempting, but the city-only approach is disappointing. I'm not a huge fan of mega evolutions.

I'd try it for $30-40, but not $70. Maybe someday - if it ever goes on sale.

It never fails. If I check to when the order is get delivered today...it gets delayed. 😑

Every time.
October 16, 2025 at 2:00 PM
I look forward to reading the Pokémon Z-A reviews. I'm really hoping there's more to the game world than the city.

Dangit...I'm getting the AD5X printer too!

I have wanted multi-filament printing since the first time I saw it. I've hoped that the Palette would be the solution, but it's forever out of stock and too expensive. There is a printer that handles 4 filaments out of the box! Under $400! Ordered.
October 14, 2025 at 2:04 PM
New printer's up and running! 😁

Reading through Ascendance of a Bookworm...this is Myne. Constantly.

I always love getting a chance to get out and hike - ESPECIALLY this time of year!
October 10, 2025 at 6:57 PM
Oof. I see more and more people talking about leaving BlueSky. I've definitely missed something, and am not looking forward to tracking down what. 😬

If I move again...it's probably just Mastodon...and then slowly, nothing at all. (Not enough people on Mastodon.)
October 8, 2025 at 1:57 PM
I've been out of 3D printing for a while - just not getting around to maintenance.

...but I just saw THIS. Core XY, auto-leveling, multi-stage air filtration, quick-change ends, and I understand it has environmental temp control? All for under $400? I'm getting one. 👀
October 7, 2025 at 8:38 PM
See... I like the idea of having Amazon deliver everything together each week. Less wasted hours, helps the environment.

...but EVERY TIME they're late. Like...they planned for this, right? And when they damage something? They figure you're not in a hurry. That replacement? Another week's wait.

😐️

Okay, maybe ONE more game. I've been curious about this one. I've wanted to try learning Japanese. It might make a nice starting point.
October 3, 2025 at 1:54 PM
My mini Steam Sale haul. I try not to overdo it on Steam sales these days, but all four of these are games I've been wanting to play.

Song of Iron looks AMAZING!
Dinkum to scratch that exploration/building itch.
Skul as I'm always wanting a new sidescrolling action-platformer
And Ruffy looks FUN!
