Out and about on a dry crispy cold day, before the salters are out! Winter days like these are an unexpected gift to motorcyclists in Scotland...and we certainly made the most of it!

Met up with friends in Alloa today, then went for a ride around Dunblane, Stirling, and Doune. We stopped at the David Stirling Memorial, which commemorates the founder of the SAS. Although we got soaked at one point, it was still a great short ride to keep the wee Bonnie running through the winter.

Just over 200 miles round trip today to visit one of the most iconic locations of a James Bond movie in Scotland, Loch Etive...and also stopped in Glencoe on the way of course...one of my favourite places in the world.

We were set to ride towards #Glencoe but once reached #Tyndrum, with a bit of traffic, we decided to turn back and rode mostly back roads, towards #Killing, #Crieff, #Stirling, and #Kinross. We hardly encountered any traffic and the sun was shining. A superb #motorcycle day! #Triumph, #BMW, #Guzzi

Out for a meet today, I came across this unusual Soviet motorcycle that's over 40 years old. It's an IZH Jupiter 350cc (I believe it's a two strokes), a twin-cylinder model. Have you ever seen one? What struck me was its simplicity yet functional design.

The sunny morning drew me out of the house although unplanned, as I had some work to do. Still glad to join the Scottish Café Racers meet for a coffee and a wee run from Cupar to Anstruther and then back home, just over the Queensferry bridge. Good chat, good ride, good coffee, and a very good day.

Explored #DumfriesandGalloway yesterday, all the way to #PortWilliam and was pleasantly surprised...although the roads closure made it a real challenge taking me to paths that I would not normally tackle with my #Guzzi #V7

Last weekend, 16 of us on 12 #motorcycles, met in #Edinburgh, and headed to the #Inveraray #Blues #Festival for the weekend, in glorious sunshine...at times it was even too warm...in #Scotland, can you believe it? #Guzzi #Harley #Triumph #Yamaha
