There's a victimhood that goes along with Pearl Harbor.
What russians are experiencing is "wow, they attacked us back 😮", as opposed to "we were just minding our own business and they attacked us".

We attended the #FreeAzov protest yesterday with @ricktheukrainian.bsky.social
In the background you can see Rick interviewing a young soldier. He was 19 when he was captured by russians and was only returned back to Ukraine 29 days ago. Many Azovstal defenders are still in russian captivity.
