Tonight is the sad part of preparing for the move: taking all the art down from the walls.

So proud of the team’s hard work on making this game so fluid. I had so much fun making the animations and flow.
Fluid movement is our love language 🌊❤️

More of my concept character animation for Glassbreakers at Polyarc. This is the proxy mesh for the male starthing.

He's a gambler with irreverent sensibility. Everything is funny to him.

Gameplay: His attacks start with a C shape, moving to an S shape, ending in reverse C for visual progression.

I made this little demo in a few hours today just to see if I could achieve the sort of, midcentury off-kilter background art vibe.

They're just very simple geometries with some grease pencil, which has a subtle noise modifier on it.

Transphobes get fucked forever
The EU has just voted, by a VERY wide margin, for the full recognition of trans women as women…!

Sent request to shut off service notices for electric and gas for about two weeks from now. This move is starting to get REAL.

I'm continuing to cook tonight.

It looks like my 3-point strap design work well! And the idea of using thrift-store sunglasses as eyes paid off once again.

More lights to happen tomorrow, then cloth coverings, then a photo shoot perhaps.

Over 1,000 Ubisoft workers around the world have walked off the job.

In response to a return-to-office mandate, layoffs, and the cancellation of several games, workers launched a three-day strike.

The workers walked out in response to five French unions issuing the strike call.
Ubisoft workers are on strike: 'We are treated like children'
The strike comes after the publisher revealed plans to cut up to 200 jobs and ordered remote workers back into the office

Got almost $300 in donations yesterday 🥹 Thank yall so much. Now sitting at $530/900 for March bills. Again, this is money I need on top of my standard March bills until I have a new roommate. Continued help is much appreciated 💜
I still need a lot of help for my upcoming move. I currently have $240/900 for March bills and will need around $4800 for security deposit/first month's rent for a new place. Please help out if you can, even if only a share 💜

the cycle of “devs working for years to make a game > game launches (and it doesn’t matter how successful it is) > two week waiting period > most of the team laid off” is not only entirely unsustainable but genuinely horrifying
Highguard developer Wildlight has reportedly laid off most of its team, says one a level designer sharing the news of layoffs.

The live service game launched just two weeks ago after being revealed at The Game Awards.

I am starting a studio! We are small and scrappy and have no money. Why am I doing this? Because the only ones who can protect art are the ones who value it. Disney using AI? Yuck. Netflix buying WB? Also yuck. In 10 years what is even going to be left.

I know people who would fail this so hard, like literally day #2 they'll open the fridge and see some lettuce and start prototyping a vegan Balatro clone.
Considering gamedevs work on games more often than they breathe, a more challenging game jam premise would be to explicitly disallow game development for a week. The Literally Anything Else Jam.
