"Accept All" is the universal standard for cookies. "Reject All" is a rarity, you have to wade through: options, manage cookies, withdraw consent, deny all, essential only, you're not getting in unless you're giving all the data...

I regularly have conversations with a retired journalist who insists Trump will get voted out at the next elections. Despite all my examples demonstrating why elections in America are a thing of the past he persists in his belief. Is it a symptom of journalism in general?

We all have a stream of consciousness narrator regularly giving us stupid and embarrassing ideas. What we consider sane is the ability to i) ignore the vast majority of the ideas and, ii) rarely say them out loud.
Imagine if you were in a position of authority and lacked those two abilities.

I thought the Covid pandemic was the worst period my generation would experience, the climate catastrophe still being a couple of decades away (although that is hastily being recalculated) but the US empire metastasising is becoming scarier by the day.
