The main reason why albums like GNX and Megan ACT II eats is because music sounds the best in it's most natural, homegrown state. Most of hip hop is just ATL sounds when so many cities and regions have their own styles that should be explored.
I remember people saying GNX wasn’t gonna win any Grammy’s because it was “too regional.”
