My mother’s home country is threatened with violence again. This time for no reason other than malicious imperialism. Trade between the US and Panama, along with the US’s use of the Canal, has been efficient and peaceful for the last 30 years. The American people aren’t set to benefit from this.
In 1989, under the Bush Administration, my mother and her family were woken by gunfire, bombings, and American soldiers raiding nearby homes in Panama. The mission was deemed successful because Noriega, wanted for racketeering and drug trafficking, surrendered the next month. Now —>

I’m not religious but I will concede that God works in mysterious ways. My cousin was supposed to be in New Orleans last night but didn’t end up making it due to car troubles. My heart goes out to those affected by this tragedy. Y’all stay safe 🫶🏽
