While F1 does suffer at times from over explaining what is going on on the screen which could absolutely be annoying for some people, it’s definitely intended to be an entry point into Formula 1 for people who have never watched it before (I’m people). Personally, I appreciated all of that. Besides the writing, this was a really fun film. The action shots switching from wide, to close, to first person were really great, and I loved the blend of the real world with the fictional.

If I had to sum up this film in one word, I'd say, "Beautiful." What a remarkable film about America, the burden of grief and regret, and the hold of the past, even as the world changes.

As a Latino kid growing up with just an immigrant mom and a younger sister, I have never identified more with a comedy special in my life.

This film genuinely surprised me. It’s a mystery, sure, but the whodunit aspect honestly was the least interesting part for me. While there is some caricaturization, particularly with some of the portrayal of people in Texas, there is a lot of genuine love for the characters. They feel real, with real emotion. The Shaw family, specifically, feel like a true family. BJ Novak did a phenomenal job with this one.

Other than having a plot twist I really didn’t see coming, this didn’t really feel substantive. A mystery with minimal stakes and what felt like meaningless subplots.

I have no idea what I expected when I clicked on this but it was definitely not what I just watched. One of the weirdest films I’ve seen in a while, but Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons were absolutely incredible.

Talk about a wild ride. Some very fun twists and turns in this one.

You can clearly tell that del Toro genuinely loves the source material. A really great adaptation of a literary classic.

This was an intense ride.

An alright movie but the story is largely forgettable. Michael Cera is a natural fit in a Wes Anderson film. Hope to see him in any future projects.

Superman wasn’t very kind or hopeful in this

This movie definitely tries something new by introducing a new comic book character without a ton of exposition and a rather clever backstory portrayal. A fun movie that does more to set the stage for future Marvel projects than most post-Endgame films have done.
