Can I just tell you a nice little story?
We have an old rabbit. Like 16 years, old. She had stopped eating. Her food bowl was always full. I thought we were nearing the end.
Turns out my 6-year-old decided, unprompted, that feeding the bunny was her job, and was getting up early to fill the bowl.

It’s very distressing to feel like I’m doing the things I’m supposed to—raising socially-aware kids, voting in every election, donating to causes, organizations, and politicians i believe in—and yet still seeing fascism in ascendancy, fellow citizens being persecuted & harmed, and fear on the rise.
