Capturing moments. Trying to do better. He/Him. Taiko in the FGC.
Last night, Flyers-Penguins felt like Flyers-Penguins again.

Better yet, when frustrations grew and tensions brewed, the Flyers battled through it together and won.

That's promise. That's progress.

"It's that pack mentality," Rick Tocchet said.

The Flyers are showing promise and fight in a Penguins rivalry that has some juice again
Flyers-Penguins felt like a real rivalry again in Philly's shootout win. Greater, though, was that a young Flyers team fought through brewing tensions and frustrations to beat them.

Brandon Graham is back.

He had the perfect ending to his career, but the itch to play is still there, along with the belief that he can still help – and the Eagles do need help.

Who knows how it goes. But at the least, BG in the locker room is a boost.

Brandon Graham got his storybook ending, but his book as an Eagle isn't closed
Graham made it 15 years as an all-time Eagles great. He had a clear point to go out on top as a two-time Super Bowl champion. But he still wants to play, and still believes he can help.

Sean Couturier said he doesn't struggle to put his socks on anymore. All those back issues are behind him now.

With his skates on, he looked like the shutdown, two-way center of old Monday night.

And maybe he can be something better.

On the captain:

Sean Couturier looked like his old self in the Flyers' win, and he might still be better
"Don't have any problems putting my socks on," Couturier said of his long-lingering back issues, and with his skates on in Monday night's win over Florida, he was everywhere.

Asked Trevor Zegras how he stayed up from two guys crashing in to check him on Couturier's winning goal at the end.

He laughed.

"I don't know. I really don't know. My neck's f***ed up."

Kyle Schwarber and Ranger Suárez bought themselves and the Phillies one more day.

Did they turn the tide on the series, too?

The Phils will be fighting for one more tonight in Game 4.

Preseason is narrowing down, so is the Flyers' roster picture.

Nikita Grebenkin and Rodrigo Abols might make it.

Now do you let Jett Luchanko stay up and figure it out?

The Eagles are 4-0, and you take that.

But that 2nd half against the Bucs on Sunday was brutal.

Fumbling with a 24-6 lead or climbing out of a 19-point hole on the back of two miracle blocks isn't sustainable either.

They're better than this.

Bernie inspired and encouraged me during my first weeks in recovery. He spoke about the importance of connecting, learning, and never giving up. What an amazing life, what a lovely person.

I got to give him a big hug a few months ago, and thank him for his role in my ten years sober. RIP. #Flyers

I still think about the Winter Classic Alumni Game and how Bernie Parent trained up to make one more run in net.

How he threw up a wall against the NY alum, and left the ice to a showering of "BERNIE!" chants from CBP.

It meant so much. He meant so much.
