I see too many people organizing to delete their apps and not enough people organizing to report content. I work in social media. While there is a strong degree of auto moderation, it's still managed by real people. There needs to be more organizing around reporting sketchy content.

Social media algorithms are still influenced by people whether you think there's a corporate thumb on the scale or not. A great way to organize/combat disinformation is to become more comfortable using the report button on harmful content.

The amount of people I've had to educate on how a social media algo going dark drastically affects the content you get is astounding. I don't aspire to be an educator whatsoever, but I greatly enjoy communicating tech stuff.
