I have to say, especially when it comes to images of folks I have little experience with, the "how can you tell it's AI?" answers have ultimately boiled down to "does what I'm seeing make any real sense?"
This video, viewed millions of times on TikTok, Facebook and X, claims to show Venezuelans taking to the street to thank the US for detaining Maduro.
But the video is a combination of four AI-generated clips and was first posted on TikTok by a user who frequently shares AI videos. It's not real.

The Trump admin cut many soft power initiatives last year, moving away from USAID, USAGM etc.

As someone broke enough to have done quite a lot of Doordashing and Ubering, this post does not read like fiction to me at all. It's very much a spend $20 to earn $23.50 sort of gig. They just try to keep you from realizing it.

In New Super Mario Bros. Wii, if you ever trigger the appearance of a super block on any level, even if you don't use it, it marks your title screen permanently
It's embarrassing, but I realized this week that my video card settings were all wrong. "Power management mode" was set to Normal instead of Prefer maximum performance.
I have literally *doubled* my frame rate in every game I play and I am equal parts gobsmacked and pissed about it
