2) These countries provide huge tax cuts to these productions because big films and tv shows actually create a bunch of economic activity! TV shows buy construction materials and pay local tailors and dry cleaners, etc. What's included in those taxes? HEALTHCARE COSTS.

These tariffs on foreign films are an absolute joke. Productions have been leaving the US en masse for two reasons: 1) paying for union healthcare programs in the US is a HUGE expense. Our healthcare system is needlessly expensive. Productions are going to countries with socialized healthcare.

Also, if I said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times @sanders.senate.gov is the best president we never had. Out in the cosmos there’s another universe where Bernie got the dem nomination in 2016 and they’re having a WAY better time than we are now.
