Have you read Red Rising series? If you like sci-fi/fantasy, antiquity, caste systems, or a "Third Reich won" scenario, I highly recommend it. It's brutally visceral, showcasing humanity's worst inventions and behavior. Plus, a bit of SW vibes (cool tech swords).

Have you read Red Rising series? If you like sci-fi/fantasy, antiquity, caste systems, or a "Third Reich won" scenario, I highly recommend it. It's brutally visceral, showcasing humanity's worst inventions and behavior. Plus, a bit of SW vibes (cool tech swords).
Připomíná mi to jinou "polehčující okolnost" zmíněnou jistým poslancem... Navíc ho přece oklamala. V šedém byznysu, který stát není schopen uznat, aby chránil jak spotřebitele, tak především poskytovatelky/e, vymáhal nějaké zdravotní standardy a měl z toho třeba i daně.

I was held face down tear gas deployed right in front of me and pepper sprayed directly into the eye.

For a sensible right-wing take, I watch Asmongold. The gap in narratives and 'evidence' is staggering between the sides. While I condemn pre-investigation doxxing, what options remain when the state's highest representative declares immunity for the shooter before any inquiry?

It was a murder by an agent with even no jurisdiction to get anyone from the car. A wannabe cowboy on a power trip, fledding the scene without helping the victim and altering evidence by that. Yet Vance automatically declare impunity. Fascism this is.

Trump's administration wants to provoke a civil war. It's even in Project 2025. Storming school and handcuffing teachers is terror and show off, which I would expect in North Korea, not a democratic country.

RIP Béla Tarr. Met him smoking rolled cigs at LFŠ. Signed my book and chatted with us, young students, but rejected folks with blank papers. His films felt like paintings. He retired after 'saying everything.' A complete, humble man. Grateful I met him and saw his work on film.
