We agree on KenPom, but if the point of the Quad system, that the NCAA made, is to differentiate two teams that seem to be similar; then shouldn’t it be the “final piece of the puzzle”?
The NCAA needs to clarify how it is using the quad, as right now they seem to only care about quad 4 win/loss.

Teams should throw that statistic out the door and stop chasing it. It doesn’t matter and the sooner that college teams get that, the better the sport will be.

So, I don’t post here, but I am making an exception.
This will be about the NCAA tournament.
To me, at least, the UNC pick is the most indefensible decision that happened for the bracket.
Not only does it not make sense statistically, it also makes a mockery of the Quad system.

Kazooie, for a fanart poll back in August. The theme was non-anthro birds for me to turn into an anthro.

Would like to do another poll like this sometime in the future

I dunno how we as a species survive the next four years...
I sense great conflict on the horizon... A growing darkness that will envelope us all.
If you believe in god, then I believe that you should begin to pray, for things look very grim.
Good luck to all.

I know that this is cliché of me, but I really do enjoy this site. It reminds me of an older time when the internet wasn't so bizarre and angry.
Vibes have remained good here, hopefully it remains that way.

I am sorry for being somewhat of a downer right now, but I needed to post through this situation. I will still be lurking on here, but I won’t post as much as I have been. Thanks for your understanding.

So, I’m gonna disappear for a few days. Sadly, my brothers cat has moved to the palace in the sky. While sad, it isn’t unexpected. He stopped eating a few days ago, and barely drank any water during that time as well. I still need some time to process this.

Right now, the thinking of my family is as follows: so long as he isn’t in pain, then we’ll let it play out. (This also goes for the water and food) If that changes, though, then it will ultimately be his time.
Thanks for your support though these tough times, hopefully they will get better.

A small update from me. Things seem to be a little more stable with my *very* old grey cat. While he is still very close to death, my family will give him some additional time, to see how he progresses.
This doesn’t ultimately change what is coming, but it does halt the inevitable.

(P.S.: while I don’t mean to be Debbie downer most of the time, this is one of the rare occasions that I need to. It’s good to work through these things and let your feelings out, but it reaffirms the fact that life will continue on, albeit in a different way. Thanks for reading)

Things continue to degrade for one of the cats at home, so I must continue to be not as active on this site as I intended to be. This is mainly to make sure that he gets the care that he needs in these final moments. It will be fine, but any support is appreciated. Thanks for reading.

One additional thing that I will add, is that the cat I knew died a month ago (mentally), so don’t be sad.
I’m just trying to make his last moments ok. (This isn’t my cat, but my bother/mothers cat).
I do hope y’all are doing well!

I am sorry for a lack of posting, but the grey cat I live with is on his last life.
What’s amazing about him is that he had survived for 5 years with liver failure… but it is finally taking its toll.
Alas, nothing lasts forever, but I need to help him a little more.
Thanks for understanding.

“Right in the difficult we must have our joys, our happiness, our dreams: there against the depth of this background, they stand out, there for the first time we see how beautiful they are.”
-Rainer Maria Rilke

One of the better quotes that I know.

Back in a different age of the computer, you would open your computer to something like the image below.
I sometimes yearn for those times....
