While stasis isn't entropy, it creates the conditions for entropy to win. Because in human systems, if you’re not moving and evolving, you’re dying.

It was a scene lifted straight from the dregs of reality television—not Bravo, not MTV, but something lower, something meaner. Except this wasn’t a gaudy set in a Los Angeles studio. It was the White House.

But too often, companies fall into the leadership overkill trap. They send managers to endless training sessions, pile on new frameworks, hold offsites to discuss leadership theory—all while real decisions pile up, unmade.

Courage is a team sport.

We’ve all been victims, bullies, and authors at one point or another in our careers. Sometimes we go in & out of these personas multiple times a day! The question is not what persona you were yesterday or a month ago, it’s what persona you consistently show up in for your team, peers, and managers.

According to Mr. Horotwitz, Wartime CEOs are constantly optimizing for rapid decision-making and are biased for action. I think those are essential rules to follow for Peacetime CEOs as well.
