This red-tailed hawk landed just off the boardwalk a few feet from me. They’re bigger than I thought, and the talons are impressive.

This two-story oriel bay window is made of pressed tin and painted to match the natural stone of this building built circa 1880. I would never have guessed.

What are the odds that this reed managed to grow through the boards of the boardwalk AND the gap in the bench? Very persistent.

The butterfly and moth exhibit was great this year and included this giant moth from Africa (not sure what country) that has wingtips that look like snake heads to keep predators at bay.
