The Orwell Foundation, Islay High School and Islay Book Festival invite you to the launch of the Orwell Youth Prize 2026 on Tuesday 28 October at 1.45pm at the High School Assembly Hall.

Free admission, and books will be available to purchase at the event.

Many attendees at this year’s Islay Book Festival event with Jen Stout were gripped by Jen’s recounting of her experiences in Ukraine, and of the bravery and strength of Ukrainians in the face of relentless attacks by Russian forces.
