Did you know Vatersay and nearby Eriskay are the only places in Scotland you will find the Bonnie Prince Charlie Flower (Calystegia soldanella), brought over by the young Jacobite from France when he fled after the Battle of Culloden.

To encourage active and sustainable island travel, when there, collect as many travel stamps as you take journeys! Not all island buses might be what you expect, some are community run buses, dial-a-ride or bookable.
