Gaela was lagging behind everyone because she is slowing down at 14. I turned back to see her pointed at a mama and baby goat. She has large cataracts so I think that was smell. A wild mama goat with a black and white spotted baby on the edge of the ditch in our pasture.

I played around with cinnamon and lilikoi cream cheese in a pillowy soft sweet dough. These went to the post office, library and fire department in our tiny town.

I am really enjoying @kingarthurbaking.bsky.social new app. I made sourdough hamburger buns in the special pan and they came out great! A bit large actually so next time I will probably freeze half the dough.

It’s a miracle! We worked the orchard and no one rolled in pig poop and I’m not covered in fire ant bites. Go team.

I love citrus season! These bright lemons and oranges remind me of holiday ornaments. Orn thought they were balls for fetching.

Pickled eggs. My girls are laying so well and tourism is so low that I’m not baking near as much for the fruit stand. Nice to have “too many” eggs. This quart jar is sitting in the window sill of my lanai. I tried the Semolina Sandwich bread recipe from the King Arthur Flour bag. It’s coated on all sides with sesame seeds. Haven’t cut it yet. Homemade pizza with alfredo sauce, sausage, shallots, peppers, mushrooms Tried out the pasta extruder on my Kitchen Aid and made basil rotini and homemade alfredo sauce.

New puppy! Meet Orn. He is sort of overwhelmed today because he flew to Hawaii from Vancouver yesterday and has met chickens, turkey, sheepies and cats for the first time. He is doing so well.
