Isn’t that the Rubicon we all feared—that without any mechanism for enforcement his regime would simply defy the courts?

It’s always so depressing to vote here. I live in an almost all white, all Republican area. School Board and almost all other local offices are held by Republicans and no one even bothers challenging them.

I’ve reached the point where I am too exhausted to take the high road anymore. I’ve lost all empathy for anyone that supports MAGA/GOP/Trump. With that said, I’ve also lost all hope for humanity, in general… I want nothing more to just buy a small plot of land and never interact with anyone.

Turns out MAGA/GOP/Trump is pro-choice after all—they choose not to feed to feed the poor. The same people that will force a woman to birth a child, will not feed that same child once they’re born. Their own ideology follows no logic other than hatred.

Has anyone done the math on how many people are going to die from losing SNAP, losing their health care, and not being paid during the government shutdown?
Maybe some people can get by for a little while, weeks up to maybe a couple months, but there is someone tracking this… right?

My understanding of the broad, overall strategy seems to be “take pictures and document what’s happening” with the hope that something awful enough will happen that it will finally bring the masses out to protest and demand change… … … because that doesn’t really seem like a good strategy to me?
