Prepping for this weeks #ttrpg session is interesting. Instead of playing on foundry, we are doing our first in person game of Daggerheart!

It's game day for my #ttrpg group! They are leveling, and hopefully chewing the scenery now that they have saved the town. It's a bit daunting as I don't know exactly where they are going to go, so it's going to be a 90% improv session while I hastily double check lore notes. #PathofStars

I've been wanting to run some kind of counterstrike/Rainbow 6/Valorant worldwide spy shenanigan's. What do people recommend for systems for that kind of shoot/investigate game loop?

My Daggerheart #ttrpg campaign is going well. And by well it's a chaotic mess, I have no clue what the players are going to do or how I'm going to react to it.
But things are happening, so that is good. Lots of NPCs lots of confusion. Just need to make sure it makes sense when the smoke clears.

Just need to tell into the void, a family member is graduating from university, and we are throwing a party for them. Their in-laws decided to mock the idea of celebrating it, and totally trying to kill the vibe, RSVP'd no, and are convincing others to skip it.

Doing some prep for tuesdays #ttrpg game. The party has encountered a swarm of undead that entered the peaceful star they are on. A few flares were thrown up at some of the other gates, obviously signaling trouble. There is a nefarious undead plot afoot!

Last nights #ttrpg session went well. It was a session zero mixed with a little teaser. Daggerheart was quite lovely, the hope and fear mechanic was fun, and the players liked the freeform combat. Just need to let everyone settle into their characters so the RP can shine more next session!

Yay it's game night. Going to hopefully wrap up he session zero stuff and get our #ttrpg campaign started!
I was able to get my players moved away from D&D, and out of all the options provided they choose Daggerheart. It's not a huge change, but it is a change.

Had a chat with one of my players to iron out some pre-session 0 kinks. They had finished their character's backstory. Which was ok, but after a quick glance I had to tell them that they had basically built up a ton of reasons not to adventure with the other players.

For my new #ttrpg campaign, I gave my players some homework. After hearing the base pitch of the setting, come up with some rumors/theories people might have about the world. After getting them, it's amazing how robust it makes the world feel! Now the world has texture and nuance.

Got my session 0.5 tomorrow for my new campaign. The big ask by my players was purpose. They did not vibe well with my previous explore wherever open world. Lesson learned but now I'm second guessing myself on how much track I need to get things going. #ttrpg #PathofStars

As much as I love learning new #ttrpgs and seeing all the different ideas people come up with, I do love locking in for whatever game I'm running for my players and diving deep. The narrowing of focus really let's you appreciate the little details.

Starting up a new #ttrpg campaign! Would love to gush about it if anyone cares, but for now I'm art hunting. Specifically a blank "island in the sky" type map I can use as a template. I'm currently making do my terrible hand done potatoes, but want to surprise my players.

I have, like many GM's more ideas for #ttepg campaigns then I have players/session time.
I am tempted to take all my scribbles and notes and start compiling them into little modules/adventures. Of course that means learning how to format and publish pdf's and figuring out how to host stuff.

I sometimes use ttrpg's like music, a tool to help me catch a specific feeling or emotion. Sometimes it's to process what I am feeling, sometimes it's a form of tourism into places I have never been personally.
