Connect with your local creatives. Art is frequently a very solitary activity, and our brains are min/maxed for social groups. Even the biggest hermits among us need human connection.
Also , being lifted up by others (and lifting them up in turn) helps so much in confidence and skill building

texture brushes aren't for everyone but i think everyone should try it. that or canvas overlays can make simple stuff look slightly more interesting
