i moved to did:web because i saw a really cool form of independence to the standard imposed by bluesky- a decentralised ID all of my own! but it comes with limits; notably *i cannot use any other handle, forever.*
this is actually *more* centralised, as i now rely on this domain existing *forever*.

status update: @iris.arimelody.me now exists as a did:web on my own PDS!
this at least proves that i can absolutely host a did:web, but due to various compatibility concerns i'm not 100% set on migrating to one permanently. i *am* a bit more confident about my own PDS, though!
