George needs to sit the "f" down.

This attitude that Democrats would have won if they'd thrown the whole nomination process into chaos, on the hope that "someone" would have united the party...

If you can't name the candidate and the agenda they would have won on, you're just writing fan fiction.

Don't mistake this as an exclusively American problem.

The Harper government in Canada was shuttering agencies and destroying libraries just 11 years ago.

It's the mark of 21st Century rightwing parties, encouraged and subsidized by the richest men in the world.

Under Trump, it’s become the billionaires’ house — and they’re bankrolling its desecration.

It should be obvious that most of the Republican leadership knew the type of language that was used by the "Young Republicans" in their chat group and yet they were all comfortable saying it on there, anyway.
So what he's saying is that Trump was aware this guy was a hardcore racist for the last several months, and yet he didn't drop him on the spot.

And that they never bothered to oppose him publicly, until someone leaked the text chat.

I have no problem with Janet Mills, but she's 77 years old, and it's absurd that the Democratic Senate leadership hasn't been cultivating a new generation of candidates in a very winnable New England state.

5/ But here's the even darker kicker.

The House Republicans aren't even in town. Speaker Johnson told them to stay away from DC. They haven't been here in nearly a month. Refusing to show up for work. An unprecedented, unplanned 4 week recess.

And why?

It’s decision time.

If we are going to fund the government, it should only be a government that respects our democracy, that isn’t corrupt, that doesn’t treat people and places that oppose President Trump as enemies, deserving of indictment or military deployment.
