Exciting new addition to the skyline here @harperadamsuni.bsky.social with the installation of a @rothamsted.bsky.social Insect Survey suction tower. Part of BBSRC-supported National Capability, this 12.2m high tower joins 15 other towers recording the migration patterns of aphids.

I had a blast yesterday attending the Staffordshire Invertebrate Fair with most of my colleagues from @hau-entomology.bsky.social. Interesting discussions with adults and out of this world questions from inquisitive kids! Don't mind aphids, Petunia the snail was definitely the star of the show! 😁

A question for entomologists who take macro photos, what has been your experience of using the Laowa ultra-macro: www.venuslens.net/product/laow...? Interested in getting this lens for some of our smaller species. #entomology #macro #photography
