There has to be *some* Dem congressperson with access to the Epstein files, and if so, they need to release them. Johnson and every other Repub are clearly petrified of those files getting out and will do everything they can to prevent that, including destroying our Constitutional order. Be brave.

Whenever I see people on here like "I read 15 books this month", and I notice they have stuff like a job, writing articles or blog posts, etc., I always wonder if they actually read the book. How?! I'm not a slow reader, but how do these people find that time? Do they not sleep?

On the one hand I genuinely appreciate the informed commentary here from people with decades of relevant experience explaining the law, courts, etc.
On the other hand... those rules *clearly* do. not. apply. anymore. All that matters is whether people in power will DO something to stop all this.

I think Dems should absolutely work with Repubs to abolish the debt ceiling if possible, and then paint every Repub as mortgaging the country's future and unable to control their urge to spend etc (1/2)

Not usually a fan of the genre, but this once I'd really like to read some brief interviews with those right wingers proudly displaying their guns yelling about how those guns are necessary to fight tyranny. Well, tyranny is here.

Every blue state should pass bounty laws to identify and prosecute/sue ICE agents who are kidnapping and assaulting people. They're not showing badges or identifying themselves, so they're obviously violating state law. Encourage people to turn the bastards in, allow civil suits, etc.

Got to wonder how many Nat'l Guards folks and active military signed up to be deployed to peaceful American cities. Lots of those folks have extremely serious decisions to make, and I think we should all be vocal about supporting them making the right ones, and the personal repercussions of not.

My litmus test for whether a person should be influential in Dem messaging or politics in general is whether they were involved in any of the 2 times they were unable to beat Donald Trump. If you were involved in 2016 and 2024 Dem politics, you should be retired and sidelined permanently.

Every time a Trump admin cabinet official declares in front of Congress that they're not going to spend money that Congress has appropriated, I want Dems to press charges against that person specifically for theft and impoundment. Make a big deal out of it every. single. time.

It is insane that this administration has stated outright that they are not bound by courts or precedent, and only SCOTUS opining on extremely specific circumstance *may* constrain it in any way. Just upending our whole order, and we are supposed to take these people (including SCOTUS) seriously.
