My number 1 rule of first drafts is don't edit/go back. I don't remember who gave me that advice but it's worked really well. Until last night where I got duck and ended up deleting a few paragraphs that I hated and going from there. Sometimes rules need to be broken.

Started writing again with a competition. Finding word count is a challenge to stay under more so than meeting it. Got to go through and cut it down again.
