It's day 35 of the government shutdown, which has tied the record for the longest-ever closure of the federal government. Federal employees are not getting paid and government services are unavailable or operating in a limited capacity. It's time to stop the shutdown.

Layoffs at the Dept of Interior were being planned for Monday, even though a federal judge ordered the firing of federal employees to stop during the shutdown. To uphold professional integrity in government services, the federal government must be fully staffed & funded. www.npr.org/2025/10/17/n...
