Très belle histoire de médiévale fantasy, partant du schéma classique du chevalier errant allant au secours d'une princesse, mais qui va brasser de nombreux thèmes, avec un personnage féminin fort. Les dessins sont très beaux, et ça se lit d'une traite

I finally finished Garden of Spheres last night and I am begging everyone to read this staggeringly beautiful graphic novel 🙏

The world building is so lush and truly original, the art *alone* is worth picking it up for, but I'm also a sucker for a story about unconventional gods (and one un-maker)

Finished #LeGrandMort (Loisel/Djian/Mallié) earlier this week, after reading it over the Christmas break, and initially buying Volume 1 in 2016. Still stunned: 10/10 art, slow-burn story w/ a bleak, ecological-fable vibe… and a finale that left me wanting more. Full review (w/ some spoilers) below.

Scanning glossy/textured surfaces: scan twice, the 2nd time rotating your paper 180º. Put the two scans as layers in PS, then Edit>Auto-Align Layers. Set top layer to Lighten for texture, Darken for glare, or Normal at 50% opacity.

Hi #PortfolioDay je suis dessinateur de bande dessinée et illustrateur en France et aujourd'hui, je vous mets des bouts de carnets.
double page d'un petit carnet moleskine figurant des dessins faits en lisant "L"art de la joie" de Goliarda Sapienza. A gauche un portrait du personnage principal, Modesta, à droite un décor de cyprès. Le tout dessiné au pentel, un feutre-pinceau japonais. Planche de recherche de personnage, Melt, pour "Branwen" projet avorté. On voit un gallois rural du XIXe en pied et bien encombré dans ses vêtements. On le voit également en plus petit, devant sa masure, une petite chaumière. Le dessin est réalisé au crayon de bois sur papier vieilli avec une valeur bleutée ajoutée numériquement. Planche d'étude d'un tableau de Lucien Simon, figurant une jeune garçon en béret poussant sur une perche pour diriger son bac. A son bord, une bigouden en costume début XXe encombrée par ses emplettes dans des sacs. On voit aussi le portrait, d'après photo, d'une femme en costume de Moëlan. Le tout est dessiné sur ClipStudioPaint comme à l'encre et à la plume. L'encre est rouge et tracée sur un papier bis saturé. Recherche du personnage principal pour la bande dessinée "Le secret de Présentine Ramondore". C'est un dessin au crayon de couleur figurant une vieille femme, cheveux ébouriffés, une pipe au bec, l'air goguenard, elle tient derrière elle un long bâton torsadé à l'horizontal. Elle est vêtue à la mode slave, gilet de cuir, chemise en coton ornée de motifs rouge, lourde ceinture, jupe verte et sac en bandouillère.
