Mmmmm, vegan Burmese coconut crispy tofu with crunchy green beans.

It took my years, but I finally was able to duplicate this dish from my favorite local Burmese restaurant.

In giving away 62 marigolds that I grew, one lady (who only wanted one for her son), told me he’s been bugging her to get seeds as he wants to grow from seed. She figured a plant was good enough….told her to wait, ran and got seeds, gave a demo/ how to and sent her home with seeds so he can grow :)

The things I see from my living room slider are always so much better than anything on TV.

We get a lot of great blue herons here…but this looks to be a juvenile something(?) snowy egret maybe?

When I transplanted this Rose Campion, I wasn’t careful and three stems broke.

I had meant to cut back the broken stems….but am glad I didn’t. All three stems are blooming.

Maybe a tad corny, but it felt like it was a message….no matter how broken you are, you CAN still bloom.

How my evening is going…my day got much shittier. Ba-dum-bum

Seriously though…if you are at the age where it’s advised to get a colonoscopy, get one. A friend waited and was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer at age 50.

I adore this time of year in my wacky little neighborhood….its when the turtles come back, nest nearby and swim in our pond….and occasionally sunbathe on my SUP board. *Swoons*

I love the idea of this and would love to see this far and wide…I doubt that most people that need this and would benefit from this would ever attend though.

I kinda like being “the plant lady” in my hood. Neighbors run out when they see me to ask questions… what’s that shrub or pretty flower, how big does it get, can they plant one here or there if they buy one, etc.

Today’s inquiry will result in my giving a demo on how to scarify canna lily seeds.

Sid, on the lookout, while Nancy grazes on the pond grass nearby. While Canadian geese are ridiculously annoying, I’m quite fascinated by them.

They mate for life and pair bonds are so strong that some say that if a hunter shoots one goose, the other may circle back and die with its mate.
