Looking out to sea from Arrecife Port A white four mast ship is tied up at the outer breakwater with its bow pointing towards the end of the breakwater and the open sea beyond. The image has been cropped to a letterbox shape and processed to black and white rendering the sea a shimmering black with some white caps and the sky at the top of the image is dark almost black as well. The breakwater extends approximately two thirds of the way across the image from left to right with the ship approximately two thirds of the way along the breakwater fromm the left. The deck of the ship is beneath the top of the breakwater and a line of portholes can be seen along the side of the ship. The rigging stands out against the sea behind the breakwater and against a line of low grey cloud on the horizon. Above thi and below the dark sky at the top of the image cumulus clouds stretch across the image filling he sky.
