A group of Nebraskans devoted to showing that compassionate and responsible government is worth defending.
Hi All! A subset of the No Kings planning committee have gathered together as River City Response to hold a citywide food drive this coming Saturday. Note that because of the groups we're donating to -- all inclusive and welcoming -- we're not using our political organizations' names or logos.

It's wonderful to see safe, fair, and open elections taking place across the country tonight, in spite of threats and fears. Democracy is a process and everyone should celebrate when so many of our fellow Americans take the time to participate!

Last night, Trump said that #nokings "was very small, very ineffective, and the people were whacked out." I guess he wanted to play 2 Lies 1 Truth? And even that truth is wildly out of touch. Whacked out is the new on fleek. Especially if we're talking axolotls.

Thank you all for a fantastic #NoKings in Omaha! We heard a low-end estimate of 6k and a high of 8k for the turnout -- what we can say is that we had so many donations we were able to give two food banks as much as they could haul away, with a carload left over for a third organization!

Looking forward to seeing everyone today! Scroll down for all our travel, parking, and safety tips over the last few days. Our final reminder is that we're not only getting together today against something - we also encourage everyone to bring donations to directly help our communities. #nokings2

Happy #nokings eve everyone!

Since central Omaha is still in construction season, we wanted to get this info out to everyone on parking and mass transit options. We will be barricading the immediate area around the park for safety, and there are street closures, so make a plan to avoid snarls!

So, we know from public contracts that ICE is using devices that can intercept cell phone traffic. They're also just buying location data from data brokers - more or less, if you're seeing an ad in an app, your location is being sold.

Just two days to No Kings 2 and we're seeing some amazing engagement and coverage!

We've got safety, parking, travel, and other tips coming for everyone but most important reminder: we're a peaceful protest. There are some great tips here from @hrc.org on how to help us support that goal.

We just got a look at the tee shirts we'll have for people to buy (limited quantities since we're self-funded) or order on Sat and wow, we're not spoiling that for everyone but they look AMAZING and we have to once again say how proud we are to be members of the local political awareness community.

Everything is coming together for our No Kings 2.0 rally on Saturday! We'll continue sharing information the next few days on parking, safety, and other useful info. Turner Park is going to be a great venue, and we're still raising money to pay for the rentals if you can spare anything! Link below

Yet another loss for representational government today as the Senate Republicans decide that due diligence and thoughtful vetting of nominees is for suckers. This will allow the president's daughter-in-law to become the ambassador to Greece, among other wildly improper nominations.

One manufacturer said they’re just trying to survive.

Didn’t the President say his tariffs would bring those jobs back to America and boost manufacturing?

Funny how those America First policies to justify gutting foreign aid also started making sure America's kids go hungry. Our food banks are already struggling from cuts and will need a lot more support immediately.
Domestically and internationally, we have an agenda that is brazenly pro-starvation.
