This song reminds me of being young and discovering all the music the world had to offer me. I love Laura Branigan's voice; Patty Smyth has a similar voice. So strong and creamy and beautiful.

This song is probably my favorite Rosanne Cash song. Another song that takes me back to a certain time in my life where I felt a lot of heartache and related to this song a lot.

I heard this song on the radio one day, when I was about 19. I was lying in this waterbed, and it was a clock radio. I was mesmerized by this song, and I still am, 33 years later. I am instantly transported back to that waterbed, lazing and listening.

I've seen a few posts about people reading Anna Karenina. I started reading it in 2008 in Texas and finished it in 2009 in Illinois. Forgetting that it was a book I checked out from the library in Texas. Hopefully they've forgiven the fine. Or else I'm in debt.

I took Christmas card pictures of my dog today. Two pictures and I felt like I captured his spirit. No outtakes. Horrible backdrop. I'm surprised I got him to sit and stay. At 6 years old we are getting the hang of it!

Today I watched Christmas With the Kranks and Scrooged. I love Scrooged so much, Bill Murray is hilarious. He plays the epitome of a bad boss, and I laugh so I don't cry at the realism.

Things that make my dog angry: when I sneeze, if I lean back in my chair too fast, when I wipe anything like a table or a counter, when I fold up my napkin after eating, the neighbors (we've lived here 5 years and he still gets mad if he hears them in the hall), kids playing in the yard out back.
