The first time I saw a photo of Stephen Miller in 2015, I thought "OMG, a real incarnation of a Nazi!" Heard he was Jewish. Realized the one-off god blew it again by not having him born in Nazi occupied territories during WW2.

When I fenced with the men, they were Olympic and All-American fencers. Best compliment I got was from a former Olympic sabre fencer who said "I hope you are not offended, but you fence like a guy". I took the compliment. Followed rule from the 1700s: Authority in defense, Spirit in attack.

The brouhaha over a transwoman in fencing is really overblown. From 1978 through 1984 I fenced with the men because the women had no assertiveness. I'm cisgender female. Fencing is skill and intelligence, not brute strength. The complaining fencer was just a loser who needed to blame someone.

Normally don't promote movies but will this time. On Netflix, Turning Point: The Bomb And The Cold War. A 2024 documentary. On MAX/HBO, 2073. From Academy Award®-winner Asif Kapadia, explains the destructive force of oligarchy. Dystopian to put it mildly.

Just to clarify, The Treaty of Tripoli, signed in 1797, explicitly states that the US was not founded on Christianity. Majority of Founding Fathers were Deists, not Christians. Take that you bible thumping abusers.

1950s final: Was this intense societal pressure for women to focus on home, pleasing men, lack of financial independence, etc. a reaction to women's feelings of agency/ independence? To "put them back in their place" ? The beginning of male ego fragility or an exacerbation of it? Just wondering.
