First day of 2026, first potential meteoric surprise! According to Mikail Maslov, on Jan. 1, 2026, 12h46 UT, the Earth should pass close to meteoroid released from 255P/Levy nucleus in 1897, which could result in a slight meteor activity coming from Cepheus (AD=330° ; D=+60°, V=18 km/s). Be aware!

Don't hesitate to watch despite the Moon: Taurids are brighte, and the Earth could enter a part of the meteoroid stream denser as usual, as particles entered a 7:2 motion resonance with Jupiter.
