BREAKING: Upon reviewing the fine print of @governor.ny.gov's proposal, we were stunned to discover that the prohibition on "287g" mass deportation agreements would EXPIRE in three years.

Governor Hochul, this is NOT leadership. 1/
Local cops should be focused on local crime.

Today I'm announcing the Local Cops, Local Crimes Act to stop ICE from deputizing police to do a federal agency’s job.

For weeks, Minnesotans have organized to respond to ICE's violence towards neighbors and loved ones. Now they need our help and support - whether it's following local orgs + groups on the ground, funding their work, sharing info, etc. See what you can do: standwithminnesota.com

Last week hundreds rallied in Albany to urge legislators to pass the New York for All Act to ensure New York will not be complicit in Trump’s cruel deportation agenda.

We're saying it loud and clear to lawmakers: step up and stop the complicity - pass #NY4All now!

@governor.ny.gov - "it's working?" 🤨
Please be serious and honest. NY is facing a crisis: over a million New Yorkers live in counties that have signed 287g mass deportation agreements with ICE. Others are colluding in secret.

You could end this with the stroke of a pen #NY4All 1/
Hochul discusses Medicaid, immigration, child care and climate
The governor does not appear willing to support the “New York for All” Act.

Hey @governor.ny.gov: just last week, you acknowledged ICE agents are "terrorizing people," but your proposal still allows local agencies in New York “free range” to help ICE terrorize our communities.

We urgently need real action. This ain’t it.
Rather than prohibit local cooperation with ICE, Hochul targets state grants to curb it
Gov. Kathy Hochul created some confusion when she declared state resources would no longer go towards civil ICE raids, since state agencies already can’t work with immigration officials.

We're in Albany today-on the first day of session, with partners and community members to call on the legislature to prioritize passing the New York for All Act.

State leaders can't simply wait around while ICE terrorizes our immigrant neighbors and loved ones. Enough is enough. Pass #NY4All NOW.

New Yorkers from across the state are joining today’s action for #NY4All.

We’re here to demand that our leaders pass the New York for All Act to ensure our state resources are never used to disappear our neighbors.

See how else this bill can defend immigrant communities. ⬇️

Our hearts are with Renee Good's family and loved ones. What happened yesterday is part of a terrifying pattern of deadly ICE violence, and Kristi Noem’s rhetoric seeks to strip away everyone’s basic humanity and rights - it must be resoundingly rejected.

📢 IDP's hotline will be closed 12/24/25 to 1/5/26 📢

Only emergency inquiries between that time will be responded to. If your loved one was arrested by ice, visit immigrantdefenseproject.org/detention for information on navigating ICE detention and finding representation.

Thousands of NYers like Kristian and Christopher continue to face deportation and/or prolonged sentences this holiday, separated from loved ones. Freedom should be a human right, not a gift. But the greatest gift of all would be for Gov Hochul to use her powers to grant clemency and reunite families

NEW: Yesterday, Trump announced the rescheduling of marijuana from Schedule I to III. We know that the criminalization of marijuana fuels the arrest-to-deportation pipeline and rescheduling simply isn't enough for those most affected by its criminalization. We demand DECRIMINALIZATION now!

DHS turned 23 this week. While many are with loved ones this holiday season, we're thinking of the millions of people impacted by the U.S.'s mass deportation machine - something DHS played no small part in supporting. A world before DHS existed. A world beyond DHS can exist in the future.

ICYMI: the Trump admin's challenge of NY's Protect Our Courts Act was dismissed! Today, the consensus remains clear: using courts as a trap to snatch people undermines due process, instills fear, and harms families. This decision is a powerful rebuke to efforts to attack our local laws:
ICE courthouse arrests meet resistance from Democratic states • Stateline
A growing number of Democratic states, and some judges, are pushing back against Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrests in and around state courthouses.

It’s a new day in New York City. New Yorkers have given Mayor-elect @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social and @council.nyc.gov a clear mandate to fight and win against ICE's abuses of power – they can start by protecting NYC sanctuary laws and passing the NYC Trust Act to get #ICEOutNYC
Maintain sanctuary in New York City
New Yorkers sent a resounding message on Election Day: they want a city that fights back against President Trump and protects all New Yorkers, including our immigrant neighbors.

We couldn't agree more with @salazarsenate.bsky.social - This moment requires action beyond outrage, including passing legislation like the New York for All Act to stop state and local agencies from coordinating with and partaking in ICE's cruelty towards our communities. #NY4All
Opinion: Words of condemnation aren’t enough. Lawmakers must pass anti-ICE legislation.
If we fail as lawmakers to match our words with action, we're giving ICE the green light to escalate.

Outrage is important, but action is critical. New York has opportunities to ACT NOW in the face of the federal admin's abuses of power
✔️ Pass the New York for All Act #NY4All
✔️ Pass the NYC Trust Act #ICEOutNYC
✔️ Use governor clemency powers for pardons and commutations #ClemencyNow
