What must we think about all the obscene unnecessary tragedy in the news, what can we do about our shared history and modern experiences of abuse – with all the twisted horrors some humans are determined to repeat in pursuit of power and personal gain - We must act, each of us must do better.
Between 1879–1918, the Carlisle Indian Industrial School was part of a U.S. policy to forcibly assimilate Native children, erasing their identity through abuse and separation. Of 10,000+ students, only 158 graduated. 500+ children died in such schools. #IndigenousHistory
