The black redstart (Phoenicurus ochruros) is bird of the year 2025 in Germany.
I am proud to say that it successfully bred at our house in 2024.
But the year before there was a loss due to martens or raccoons.

It's the second sighting for Brandenburg and 14. for Germany.
It wasn't very shy and was nice to watch (29.11.2024)
