Northern shrike/butcher bird, mice, voles and small birds are on its menu, a cute little predatory songbird.

For the #BirdOfTheDay alternate theme of #ColorfulCapture, let's go with a bird that's not able to be seen in any other part of the United States. When I took this photo it was still called the Elegant #Trogon. It has since been redesignated "Coppery-tailed Trogon".🪶

I’ve had no trouble visiting most of the trails in the Huachuca mountains over the years. But since we finally got a Jeep in April, a few have become at least a little easier to get to.

For the #BirdOfTheDay theme of #OpenWings, I'm going to go with this scissor-tailed flycatcher right after it decided it had sat on the tree branch for long enough.

Throwing this cactus into warp drive. 😁

I don't normally post two entires for the #BirdOfTheDay, but this white-crowned sparrow🪶 from this morning's walk literally has a seed in its mouth. #NaturesPantry

This picture I just took on Sunday of a lesser goldfinch feeding on some flower seeds, works well for today's #BirdOfTheDay theme of #NaturesPantry

Playing around with Adobe Portfolio today. I like it. Not sure why I never used this as my photo website before. Most of my pictures are already on the Lightroom cloud.

So yesterday's #BirdOfTheDay theme was #splash. So of course I don't come across this image until this morning. Sorry for being late. 🪶

It may have been 75 degrees today, but that didn’t stop this acorn woodpecker in Huachuca Canyon from diligently preparing for winter. 🪶

The #BirdOfTheDay 🪶 theme is #nestbuilders.

I've got a whole series for this one, as I watched these these cactus wren building a nest earlier this year.
