Perplexity is repeatedly modifying their user agent and changing IPs and ASNs to hide their crawling activity, in direct conflict with explicit no-crawl preferences expressed by websites.

Thinking a lot about AI and "outsourcing existence". As always, it starts with business automation for me and then slowly starts to seep out into personal life. Hate the idea of a partner or friend sending anything via AI. Even AI generated Slack messages are ick.

and toying with a sales tax cut didn't help the New Brunswick PCs win their election. That being said, Higgs' unlikability probably outweighed it all in the end.
Groceries don't have HST, rent doesn't have HST, bad math says if you spend $50 a week on gas, 1% is 50 cents, $26 a year. It adds up to the provincial coffers, but per person? Negligible. Do something to address the real expenses if you want to help. This 1% helps the 1% most.
