I'm inordinately fascinated with the use of "over-affirmative" rather than "manipulative" or "disingenuous" when describing AI chatbots that isolate or otherwise emotionally control the humans using them. It is the implication that the user does not deserve affirmation that does it.

DOGE was created for data theft and infrastructure dismantling and it wildly succeeded on both counts within the first few weeks of its existence. It will take a generation to rebuild what it destroyed and the breach of data is unprecedented.

Metroid Prime 4's MacKenzie is probably purposefully annoying. If Nintendo views Samus as a motherly protector of humanity, then giving her a helpless, burdensome life she has to keep alive while also keeping herself alive fits that theme.
