A busy week in Mali: the ruling junta sacked the civilian prime minister and replaced him with a military officer. It also received $160 million from Resolute, one of the largest mining companies operating in the country and whose CEO was detained for weeks.

Hearing some news from Lake Chad #BokoHaram... the Chadian military got fairly deep into the lake, to the vicinity of Madayi, on the Chad-Nigeria border. #ISWAP land, actually, not that of #JASDJ (which is the faction that carried out the attack on the Chadian garrison in Barkaram).
